About Dr. Arthur Bregman
Dr. Arthur Bregman devoted his career to helping thousands of patients with a wide variety of mental health challenges. With more than 40 years of experience as a psychiatrist, he became widely respected for his compassionate care and innovative approach to treatment.
Over the decades, "Dr. B,"" as he is affectionately known by longtime patients and colleagues, guided children, adults, and families through many stages of life. His dedication and results earned him national recognition, including the "America’s Best Doctors" award in 2012. For several decades he served as Chief of Psychiatry at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital before founding his own private psychiatric practice, Bregman Medical Group.
In the 1980s, Dr. B pioneered PsychSolutions, an on-site behavioral health system that brought doctors and therapists directly to underserved patients across Miami-Dade. This innovative program, developed in partnership with Florida’s Department of Children and Families, the juvenile justice system, and local schools, continues to serve the community to this day.
Although Dr. Bregman is now retired from clinical practice, his passion for advancing mental health care lives on. He has been a strong advocate for telepsychiatry and the use of technology to improve access to care. He also became internationally known through his podcast, "The Breakdown with Dr. B," where he and co-host Linda Corley explored a wide range of mental health topics with guests from around the world.
Dr. Bregman’s career reflects a lifetime commitment to innovation, community service, and the wellbeing of his patients — a legacy that continues to inspire the next generation of mental health professionals.
